Formed in 1967 by two friends in Illinois, Alan Gratzer and Neal Doughty started playing cover songs in and around the pub scene at the University of Illinois.  They eventually would add more to their group and officially named the band after a flat bed truck and fire engine built by Ransom Eli Olds. 

Working hard in the early years, but still not finding huge success, the group would invite Kevin Cronin to rejoin the band in 1976.  Immediately, they found success with the release of "REO," followed by the live album "You Get What You Play For" in 1977.  Receiving tremendous radio play also was the album "You Can Tune a Piano But You Can't Tuna Fish" in 1977. 

By 1980, the band was ready to explode as they released "Hi Infidelity" which represented a move to more of a pop sound, and it would thrust them into the mainstream and featured the number one hit single "Keep on Lovin' You."  They would follow up this success with "Good Trouble" and "Wheels are Turnin'" which featured another number one hit "Can't Fight This Feelin'." 

By 1990, the band had released their 13th studio album and had enjoyed some of the biggest success of any band in the eighties!  This is your chance to keep on rockin' with these classic performers with REO Speedwagon tickets!
