Professional Bull Riders (PBR) is one of the most popular bull riding organizations today. This group got its start in Pueblo, Colorado in 1992, when a segment of bull riders broke away from the mainstream rodeo circuit and decided to start an organization just for them. The 20 bull riders who founded the group each donated $1,000 to get the organization started. Today, the group is still owned by the athletes, one of the few professional sports organizations that can make that claim.
PBR Tickets: Event History
Professional Bull Riders tickets offer attendance to more than 31 events at their cross-country tour every year. The event opens with a bang, using pyrotechnics, loud music and other special effects that rival many concert arenas today.
The top 40 riders in the country compete at these events, and at the end of each one, the top 15 compete for the ultimate title.
In addition to exciting bull riding competitions, Professional Bull Riders tickets often include access to concerts from some of the top performing artists in the country music industry.
Memorable Highlights with Professional Bull Riders Tickets
Since 1994, Professional Bull Riders tickets have been giving visitors access to some of the top bull riders in the country. In 2007, the organization began hosting a team competition known as PBR World Cup, where just 25 bull riders compete to win the title as best in the country. Currently, the events can even be seen on major television networks like NBC and FOX Sports. The events also attract over 1.5 million visitors every year.
Visitors purchase Professional Bull Riders tickets to see bull riding greats like Renato Nunes (the current national champion), Ben Jones and Kody Lostroh.
Injuries are not uncommon at many of these events, and some riders come back to win their events despite injuries. Case in point: this year, Nunes won the championship in Sacramento despite riding with a broken finger. Another cowboy, Jody Newberry, was carried from the arena unconscious at the same event, after getting stepped on by one of the bulls.
Who Should Attend?
Professional Bull Riders participants will be quick to point out that their events are no rodeo. This is a hardcore sport that involves some of the best bull riders in the world in a single location. If you enjoy extreme sports and serious competition, combined with some fantastic entertainment in a festival-like atmosphere, Professional Bull Riders tickets are the right choice for you.
