Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Jeff Foxworthy is an alumni of Georgia Tech and started his career at IBM as a main frame computer technician for five years.  Encouraged by his co-workers at IBM, Jeff Foxworthy decided to enter the Great Southeastern Laugh Off at Atlanta's Punchline Comedy Club in 1984 - and he won!  He would hone his comedic skills on the stand up circuit for a few years, and then in 1990, he would receive the prestigious title of Best Stand Up Comic at the American Comedy Awards. 

By 1993, Jeff Foxworthy had produced his first comedic album "You might be a redneck if..."  The album would sell 3 million copies and catapult Jeff to national fame.  He followed up this album up in 1995 with "Games Rednecks Play," which was nominated for a Grammy for best spoken comedy album.  That same year he would star in the ABC sitcom The Jeff Foxworthy Show, which ran for one season.  

His third album, "Totally Committed," also coincided with an HBO one hour stand up special.  Jeff is also one of the hard workin' guys of the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," which gained widespread popularity in the early 2000s.

Along with his stand up and television credits, Jeff Foxworthy is also an accomplished author, with several books to his credit, including an autobiography, a cookbook, and a children's book!
