The History of Dokken Tickets
Dokken got its start when guitarist George Lynch and drummer Mick Brown teamed up with singer Don Dokken and bassist Jim Monanteras.
The band released its first singles, "Hard Rock Woman" and "Paris Burning" in 1978; they later released their first album, Breaking the Chains, in Europe in 1981. The album was later remastered and re-released in 1983 in the United States.
Although band members came and went over the next several years, Dokken achieved its first breakout hit in 1984 in the U.S. with the release of their Tooth and Nail album. Some of the hits on this album included, "Just Got Lucky," "Alone Again" and "Into the Fire." The album went on to sell more than one million copies in the United States alone. It peaked at 49 on the charts.
Dokken began experiencing their best success when they started to tour with such bands as Judas Priest, Twisted Sister and Aerosmith.
After touring for the next two years, Dokken released "Dream Warriors," a song for the movie of the same name. The band then took some time off and didn't return to the studio until 1987, when they released their next album, Back for the Attack.
The band broke up because of creative differences in 1988, and the members went on to release solo work throughout the next, few years. The band then reunited in 1998 and released the album, Erase the Slate in 1999 and Live from the Sun in 2000. They continue to perform at rock festivals and glam rock festivals.
