Boise State Broncos Tickets: Historical Overview
Despite being a division-one football program for just 15 seasons, the Boise State Broncos are able to stand tall against many other more historical college football powers. In 1996, the Broncos began play in the Big West Conference before moving to the WAC in 2001. By 2002, Boise State was a top 20 squad.
In 2006, current head coach Chris Petersen made his debut on the sidelines for the school, and to date, Petersen has lost a total of just five games in his run at Boise State. After a 12-0 perfect season in 2006, the Broncos headed to the Fiesta Bowl for a battle against the mighty Oklahoma Sooners. In a classic game, Boise State pulled the upset in overtime to stun the Sooners. In 2009, the Broncos put together another undefeated season.
In basketball, Boise State has made five appearances in the NCAA tournament since becoming a division-one club in the 1971-72 season.
Championship Seasons
From 2002-10, the Boise State Broncos dominated the WAC with eight football titles over the nine-season stretch. In 2011, the university will begin play in the Mountain West Conference.
In basketball, the Broncos have captured ten conference championships (5-regular season, 5-tournament).
Boise State Broncos Tickets at Home Facilities
In football, the Boise State Broncos compete at one of the most unique environments in the nation. Bronco Stadium (capacity of 33,500) is known for its blue playing surface. While this is an oddity in college football, the venue is one of the most difficult places for a visiting team to win. Boise State is an impressive 77-2 at home since 1999. Given the team's winning history, Boise State Broncos tickets are in high demand during the fall and winter.
On the basketball side, the team plays at the Taco Bell Arena (capacity of 12,542).
