Tower Of Power Tickets

Often referred to as a "horn-driven funk outfit," Tower of Power has sustained its popularity and has been near-constantly touring the world since their inception in the early 1970s.

The History of Tower of Power Tickets

Tower of Power began their career when they signed a recording contract in 1970 with Bill Graham's San Francisco Records. Members of the band, at that time, included Greg Adams and David Garibaldi. They released their debut album, Bay Grease, that same year. Rufus Miller performed the majority of lead vocals for the debut album.

In 1972, Tower of Power made the switch to Warner Brothers Records and brought on percussionist/bongo player Brent Bayers to release their sophomore album, Bump City. The next year, they released Tower of Power. Both albums were instant successes and did much to bring the band a considerable amount of attention, both of the critical and commercial varieties. They also began selling a multitude of Tower of Power tickets during this time.

Tower of Power has been said to have been the most successful album of the group to date. This album made it to number 15 on the Billboard Pop Albums and was certified gold. The breakout hit song on this album was "So Very Hard to Go." Tower of Power released Back to Oakland in 1974, and their sound, at that time, began to move toward funk.

Tower of Power continues to tour extensively today and sell Tower of Power tickets throughout the United States. The band, which has had a four-plus decades long career, has gone through at least 60 musicians and has sold countless Tower of Power tickets.

In addition to selling Tower of Power tickets and touring, the band has also contributed extensively with other bands and labels. Some of the artists with whom they have collaborated include: Toto, Rod Steward, Aerosmith, Santana, the Monkees, Cat Stevens, John Lee Hooker and Jefferson Starship, among many others.
