String Cheese Incident Tickets

The String Cheese Incident is a classic bluegrass-inspired band and is as eclectic - and exciting - as it gets!

The group, which consists of Michael Kang, the band's violinist/mandolinist, Bill Nershi, the bassist, Kyle Hollingsworth, the pianist, and Michael Travis, the percussionist, has described The String Cheese Incident as a "sacrilegious mix of bluegrass, calypso, salsa, Afro-pop, funk, rock, and jazz." In other words, if there's one thing you can expect from The String Cheese Incident is that you can't expect anything.

The History of the String Cheese Incident Tickets

The String Cheese Incident was formed in 1993 in Telluride, Colorado.  They first made their way through the local club circuit, and they often played local ski resorts in exchange for lift tickets. After a few years, they developed their own private record label, SCI Fidelity, and released their first album, Born on the Wrong Planet. This album was a mix of both original songs and covers. They still play many of the songs from this first album, including "Land's End," "Texas," and "Jellyfish."

A year later, they released their self-titled album, which is a chronicle of their concert from the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado. They then released 'Round the Wheel in 1998 and toured the country nearly continuously from 1998 to 2001.

After their tour had ended, the band went back to the studio and released Outside Inside in 2001. For The String Cheese Incident, this album was a shift from their traditional bluegrass sound, as it incorporated rock sounds and undoubtedly introduced them to a more mainstream audience.

After a few more albums, the band split up to pursue individual projects. In 2009, however, the band announced it would reunite for the second annual Rothbury Music Festival. They then reunited once again in 2010 to play seven shows throughout the summer.

The String Cheese Incident Tickets: What to Expect

The String Cheese Incident Tickets: Who Should Attend?
