New Kids on the Block Tickets

One of the most popular boy bands to surface in the 1980s, New Kids on the Block tickets had a slow start, but eventually took the world by storm. Read Below..

History of New Kids on the Block Tickets

This group was originally formed in the middle of the decade, as a white counterpart to the already popular band New Edition. Maurice Starr, the producer that originally discovered New Edition, held auditions in Boston to create his group. The first performer to be hired was Donnie Wahlberg, followed by Danny Wood, Jordan and Jonathan Knight and Joey McIntire - the youngest member of the group at the tender age of 12.

The group's first self-titled album release contained music primarily written by Starr, which fell short of expectations and resulted in a limited tour, with the group playing school dances, bars and clubs. The second album, with more music written by the members, threatened to fall flat as well right after release, but eventually picked up steam with their single, "Please Don't Go Girl."

The next two albums hit triple-platinum, and New Kids on the Block tickets began to sell out large venues like arenas across the country. The group disbanded in 1994, but reunited a couple of years ago and is schedule to tour with Back Street Boys this year.

What to Expect with New Kids on the Block Tickets

Early reunion concerts have resulted in sellouts of New Kids on the Block tickets, and audiences have been delighted to see the vocal and performance ability of these young men has not waned in the least over nearly two decades. The show is more sophisticated today, with the musicians showcasing their vocals, as well as their still hot dance moves. Crowds are enjoying the new music the group released in 2008, but it is their classic hits of the 1980s and 1990s that still make their audiences go wild. Fans will also enjoy some of the special effects of days gone by, including some fabulous lighting and a few pyrotechnics.

Who Should Attend?

New Kids on the Block tickets are appropriate for nearly any age. The group is particularly popular with soccer moms looking to relive their youth, but their teenage daughters are sure to enjoy the show as well. The audience is primarily female, with some placing roses or even throwing undergarments on the stage. If you are looking for a show with rousing vocals, upbeat dancing and hit songs that span two generations, New Kids on the Block tickets might be the perfect choice for you.
