Kansas Jayhawks Tickets

With one of the most successful programs in the history of college basketball, the Kansas Jayhawks have a passionate group of fans. Kansas Jayhawks tickets provide spectators with a chance to watch one of the marquee attractions in the sport.

Kansas Jayhawks Tickets: Historical Overview

Only the Kentucky Wildcats have recorded more all-time wins in basketball than the Kansas Jayhawks. Through the 2009-10 season, the school had reached the NCAA tournament in 39 seasons while appearing in the Final Four on 13 occasions. The Jayhawks have collected 66 conference championships (54-regular season, 12-tournament) over the years as well.

Dr. James Naismith and Phog Allen are two of the legendary basketball figures that have coached at Kansas, while Wilt Chamberlain is the most famous player in the history of the Jayhawks.

Alas, in football, the school has not been as nearly as successful.  However, Kansas has managed to reach 12 bowl games. Four of those bowl outings occurred in the last decade under head coach Mark Mangino.

Championship Seasons

The Kansas Jayhawks have won three NCAA titles in basketball. Allen guided the 1951-52 squad to the school's first title. In 1987-88, star forward Danny Manning carried the Jayhawks to another championship.

Twenty years later, current head coach Bill Self led his team to a dramatic overtime victory against the Memphis Tigers in the NCAA championship game.

In football, Kansas won three (1946-47, 68) conference titles in the Big 8.

Kansas Jayhawks Tickets at Home Facilities

In hoops, the Kansas Jayhawks compete at Allen Fieldhouse (capacity of 16,300). The arena is truly one of the greatest places to take in a college basketball game. Many view the venue as the loudest college hoops arena in the nation. Since late in the 1993-94 season, the Jayhawks have lost only 13 games at Allen Fieldhouse.  It is no surprise that Kansas Jayhawks tickets are always in high demand during the fall and winter for thousands of basketball fans.

For football, Kansas plays at Memorial Stadium (capacity of 50,071).

Kansas Jayhawks Tickets: 2011-12 Season

In the 2011-12 campaign, the Kansas Jayhawks will be seeking to make another deep March Madness run. Conference showdowns against Missouri and Kansas State will highlight this year's home schedule.

On the gridiron, the 2011 Jayhawks will attempt to get back on the winning track. A visit from the Oklahoma Sooners will be the headline contest on this season's home slate. Also, Kansas Jayhawks tickets will be sold for home games against McNeese State, Northern Illinois, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Baylor.
