Don Rickles Tickets

As an American comedy legend, Don Rickles has made a name for himself as the "master of insult," the "merchant of venom" and "Mister Warmth," among others. Sure, he's made a career out of insults, but we've laughed all the way.

The History of Don Rickles Tickets

Born in Queens in New York City in 1926, Don Rickles enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and after his discharge in 1946, he began studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Because he was unable to land steady work in television, he decided to begin doing standup comedy. He quickly became known as an insult comedian for the way he responded to hecklers in the audience, and the persona stuck. When he performed during the 1950s, he would refer to his hecklers as "hockey pucks."

Don Rickles soon began to sell many Don Rickles tickets and perform in a Miami Beach nightclub known as Murray Franklin's. It was there he met Frank Sinatra who liked his act so much that he encouraged other celebrities to see his act. Don Rickles' fame quickly took off, and he soon began selling a multitude to Don Rickles tickets and working as a headline performer in Las Vegas.

Rickles, in addition to selling many Don Rickles tickets and performing his live standup routine, took a serious role in the film, Run Silent, Dun Deep in 1958 with Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster. This break onto the big screen led him to accept many television roles during the 1960s, and he also began appearing frequently on television talk shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In fact, he appeared more than 100 times on The Tonight Show.

During the early 1980s, the comedian sold many Don Rickles tickets when he began performing with Steve Lawrence in Las Vegas. He also hosted a number of television comedy shows and sitcoms throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Don Rickles Tickets: What to Expect

Don Rickles still performs regularly throughout the standup comedy scene and still performs in Las Vegas. He says of still performing: "I'm in good health. I'm working better than I ever have. The audiences are great. Why should I retire? I'm like a fighter. The bell rings and you come out and fight. My energy comes alive. And I still enjoy it."

Don Rickles Tickets: Who Should Attend?
